In The Spotlight - Reflections at Laurelwood

In The Spotlight - Reflections at Laurelwood

Background

It was early in the summer months that Activa Holdings contacted Lumichrom, requesting they consult on the massive print marketing project required for their new condominium build in Waterloo.

Challenge

Reflections at Laurelwood has been designed as a polished and contemporary property and therefore, any solutions used in its advertising should communicate this.

Requirements

While the graphics were provided by Activa's personal designers, it was through a collaborative effort with Lumichrom that the finishes, substrates and installation needs were conceived.

Solution

Over 20 different projects were produced at Lumichrom, each with their own solution carefully thought out.

First to be done were outdoor, weather-resistant, eight foot square directional signs as well as another eight foot square sign announcing the future site of the forthcoming condominiums.

At the sales office itself, acrylic fascia lettering was mounted next to a backlit plexi logo that had been directly printed on our flatbed printer and then installed to the L.E.D. Frame. Traditional vinyl cut lettering was also applied to the window surfaces below.

Within the sales office, a dynamic and unified look was built up through colour, logo and styling.

The reception desk was fitted with plexi panels tinted to match the blue with the logo that had been exquisitely mounted overhead with aluminum stand-offs. These were a perfect match to the die-cut aluminum wordmark that was installed regally below the logo.

To the left of the desk are the floor plans for each of the available units. These were also printed directly to plexi and installed with the same stand-offs, but this time a flood of white ink was applied behind the graphics to ensure the legibility of the technical drawings.

Complementing these six panels is a unique triptych erected using aluminum framing cylinders and brushed aluminum boards printed on both sides boasting the amenities of the Laurelwood area.

Other installations within the office included a custom wall paper mural, plak mounted prints, backlit graphics and a beautiful four foot by eight foot suspended fabric print.

Results

Lumichrom's ability to recommend appropriate installation techniques and printing methods for the required elements assisted in creating a cohesion between the sales office and the elegant living space that is currently being created on Laurelwood Drive in Waterloo.
